Careful, responsible management and guidance of our school by well qualified professionals is the foundation of our continued success. Our TAS Governance structure gives strength and security to the school.
TAS Company Structure
On 1 January 2010, TAS was restructured into a company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act changing the previous structure of being administered by a succession of Ordinances of the Anglican Diocese of Armidale. The new structure created The Armidale School Company, made up of 24 individual Members, six from each of the four key stakeholder groups: the Old Armidalians’ Union (OAU), TAS Foundation, TAS Parents and Friends Association and the Anglican Diocese of Armidale.
These Members meet twice a year including at the Company’s Annual General Meeting. Governance of the school lies with the School Board which in turn is accountable to and reports to the TAS Company.
The TAS Board
The TAS School Board is made up of nine Company Directors and they are responsible for the strategic management of the School. Five of the Directors are selected based on their professional experience, two are appointed by the Old Armidalians’ Union and two from the Armidale Anglican Diocese.
