The TAS Enrolments Journey

The first step along the path to enrolling your child at TAS is to let us know your situation and intentions for your child. From there we want to make it as easy as possible for you to take this enrolment journey with us.

The Steps to Take

decal number 01To begin your family’s TAS journey, please explore this website. Be sure to have a look at our virtual tour. We then invite you to complete the online enquiry form. As soon as the enrolments office receives this, we will contact you to introduce ourselves, provide further information and discuss the option of a visit and a tour of the School at a time that suits you. If preferred, you can contact us directly.
decal number 02The next step is to complete an online Enrolment Application and to pay a non-refundable Application Fee of $250. This means your child is registered at TAS and will be considered for enrolment.
decal number 03Upon receipt of an application we will be in touch to make arrangements for an Enrolment Interview with the Principal, the Head of the relevant area of the school and additional staff as required before any decision about enrolment is made.
If necessary, to help with your decision making we invite prospective students for a day in school and an overnight stay in boarding for Middle School boarding students. Each prospective student is given a ‘buddy’ for their visit as they spend the day genuinely experiencing what the school is like, getting to meet the other students and staff to get a better feel for the school.
decal number 04The next stage in the journey, if your child is accepted into the School, is for a Letter of Offer and an Enrolment Acceptance Agreement to be sent to families.
decal number 05Once you accept the Letter of Offer, an Enrolment Acceptance Agreement is sent. It is important to read it carefully to fully understand all the terms and conditions.
decal number 06The Enrolment Acceptance Agreement must also be accompanied by a non-refundable Acceptance Fee. This fee is as follows; $650 for a place in Junior School, $1,000 for a place in Middle School and $1,250 for a place in Senior School.
decal number 07At the same time, there is a one-off, non-refundable fee of $100 that goes directly to the TAS Parents and Friends Association and helps them with the fundraising they do for the school.

Enrolling as an International Student

From across Asia, the Middle East, PNG and Europe, students from around the world have been immersing themselves into life at TAS for more than 60 years and we welcome one and all.

International Students imbue our school community with a rich cultural diversity which is valued by all. Our international students are young people dedicated to developing their intellectual potential and to broadening their interests beyond the curriculum. These students greatly contribute to our School life, while experiencing the uniqueness of Australian boarding school culture.

All international students must provide acceptable evidence of English language proficiency through the completion of an Australian Education Assessment Services (AEAS) test, followed by a Zoom interview with the Principal, Registrar and Director of Boarding.
