Outdoor education is a big drawcard that comes with a TAS education; it starts with Junior School students and continues all the way to the end of Year 11. It is designed to build confidence and strength - both physical and mental.
It may be hard to imagine how a trip to Lake Keepit in Junior School can be linked to the Cadet program in Year 8, but it is all part of the planning to ensure our students have the opportunity to test themselves beyond the classroom and are more aware of the world in which they live.
Whether this is a trip to the fire station for Pre-Kindergarten, kayaking and wall-climbing during a week-long camp to Lake Keepit, our students learn more about themselves, as well as the world in which they live.
This reflects the philosophy of “International Baccalaureate Organisation” and the “Round Square”, another association of schools from around the world that share a philosophy of personal growth through adventure, leadership and service to others.
