We are committed to the holistic wellbeing of our students, and crucial to this is the provision of professional medical and counselling services for all students and staff as needed.
Our Counsellor
Counsellors help people live well, function effectively, reach their potential or simply overcome obstacles that seem insurmountable. Counselling can help get clarity or deal with issues so that life can move forward again. Just as it is important to be physically healthy, mental health is critical to overall wellbeing.
We have a full time, on site counsellor who sees students Monday to Friday during school hours. Students can make appointments directly of they can be made through Advisors or Year Level Coordinators.
Medical Centre
Staffed by qualified Registered Nurses who work with Armidale general practitioners and allied health professionals, the TAS Medical Centre plays an important part in the health and wellbeing of students, particularly our boarders.
Medical Centre During the School Day
The School doctor visits TAS three times a week for appointments for boarders, however any student who becomes unwell can report to the Medical Centre during the normal school day. Medical Centre staff are happy to organise appointments for boarders to see dentists, orthodontists, physiotherapists eand other allied professionals.
